7-25-04 Fifth week in Beijing visiting the Great Wall again

HEY,
Thursday we went on a Jeep tour and then went to buy tickets for a Great Wall hike that we did on Friday (3 hours to get there, 3 hours to get back-hike for 10k or 6.2 miles). We randomly saw a guy, and then two of his friends later who we had met in Xi'an...how random is that.
The Great Wall was really fun and I'm glad that I went!! We were sooo tired and the wall is not in good condition. Towards the end (we didn't know where it ended) it was thundering and we went sooo fast and it rained right as we finished. There were all of these people trying to sell us stuff (what usually happens here) and there were some ladies that walked with us a LONG way. The lady who was with me was very nice and held my hand going up and down (I thought it was helpful and nice-the others weren't too thrilled). I found out she was a farmer and 40 years old (there's a picture of us in my pictures). So when the time came they tried to sell us stuff for REALLY expensive and I ended up buying something expensive because I was glad that she helped me!!
Friday night we went to some club called Banana that has a hydraulic dance floor..that part was neat but not the part with Beijing's entire population being in the club.
Yesterday Erin, Mike, Kristin, and I went and bought a bunch of tea and YARN!!! We ate at this really good Japanese restaurant and bought some DVDS. Any DVD requests or anyone want a Northface jacket (fake)?? You have to let me know soon though because I have less than a week left! I have a project due Tuesday, a test on Tuesday, and our final on Thursday and we still have a lot to do on our list.
That's all...if anyone has a request of last minute things they want tell me....but I have NO idea how I'm going to pack my bags (I think I'm going to have to get rid of a lot). I sent Dad the link to the pictures...so ask him. That's all I'm going to the Asia cup game tonight!! It's China vs. Qatar and we all have to find red shirts!
